March 2016 edition of the Probit newsletter
Dear member of the Probit research panel:
While we continue to develop and carry out new studies, we would also like to share some of our recent results with you – our panel. As always, be on the lookout for survey invitations in the weeks ahead. Your invaluable input is necessary and deeply appreciated.
Recently it has been speculated that television personality Kevin O’Leary may run for the leadership of the federal Conservative Party. We asked you if you have a favourable or unfavourable opinion of him. 51% of you reported having an unfavourable opinion of him while only 16% answered with a favourable opinion.
U.S. presidential election primary campaign
The U.S. presidential election primary campaign has been generating a lot of buzz around the world. When asked if you would be a supporter of the Democrats or the Republicans, 72% of you said you would support the Democrats, while only 17% of you said you would support the Republicans. 7% of you said you would support neither.
Keeping those numbers in mind, we asked you to choose who you would vote for if you could vote in the U.S. Democratic or Republican Party presidential primary. Hillary Clinton takes the lead with 50% for the Democrats, followed by Bernie Sanders with 41%. For the republicans, Donald Trump is leading with 30%, followed by Ted Cruz with 16%, and recent dropout Marco Rubio with 15%.
A few months ago we asked you in a survey if you had ideas for questions you would like to see in future surveys. We selected 3 of those questions to be included in our most recent omnibus survey and are happy to share the results with you here:
Thank you again for your submissions and we look forward to reading more of them in our future omnibus surveys!
Congratulations to our Prize Winners!
We would like to offer our congratulations to the winners of our most recent draws, all of whom won cash prizes by taking part in our surveys.

We have also sent out over $6500 in amazon.ca gift certificates since the last newsletter.
Probit: What We Do
The key principle of Probit‘s methodology that distinguishes our panel from others is that the Probit research panel is probability-based. This allows us to accurately project survey data to the total Canadian population versus non-probability opt-in online panels. For more on this subject, please click here.
