March 2018 edition of the Probit newsletter
Dear member of the Probit research panel:
While we continue to develop and carry out new studies, we would also like to share some of our recent results with you – our panel. As always, be on the lookout for survey invitations in the weeks ahead. Your valuable input is necessary and deeply appreciated.
According to a recent poll, 44 per cent of our newer panel members think Canada has become more open, while only 15 per cent think we have become more isolated.
However, when asked whether Canada should become more open, 39 per cent think so, and up to 20 per cent think Canada should become more isolated, indicating a decline in Canada’s openness.
Turning to the United States, 34 per cent of our newer panel members think Canada is becoming less like the U.S., and up to 57 per cent think Canada should become less like the U.S.
When asked whether Canada should create its own “Canada First” policy analogous to Donald Trump’s “America First”, a majority (61 per cent) of newer panel members do not think so.
Be sure to follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook, and visit www.probit.ca to find recent developments.

Probit: What We Do
The key principle of Probit‘s methodology that distinguishes our panel from others is that the Probit research panel is probability-based. This allows us to accurately project survey data to the total Canadian population versus non-probability opt-in online panels. For more on this subject, please click here.
